Tom is the biggest of the three brothers, and he is the first to jump in — literally! Once Tom decides you are safe, he cannot quite contain himself. He jumps. He wiggles. He is so happy to see you that his whole body says it.
Tom loves to swim, he follows his foster around during chores like helping is a job he applied for and intends to keep, and he is a total cuddle bug and treat lover. He is gentle, he is sweet, and he is good around children ages 2 and 5. He is learning, fast, what a real home feels like — and he is loving every minute of it.
He is neutered and did great after surgery. He is kennel trained — no accidents when kenneled — and he is used to getting a biscuit when he is put up, which he thinks is a pretty excellent deal. He is learning sit and lay, and he is still learning the leash: put one on him and he tends to hit the ground, so his adopter should expect a patient, funny start to walks, not a finished walker. He does resource-guard sometimes, and it calms with a steady voice and his foster’s phrase — “Tom be nice” — so his adopter should know it and work with it honestly. He is not a difficult dog. He is a big, joyful puppy who is ready to love his people out loud.
