Privacy Policy

Greatest Need Rescue is a Texas nonprofit / 501(c)(3) foster-based dog rescue. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it. If anything here changes, we will update this page.

What we collect

  • When you apply to adopt, foster, or volunteer, you give us information through our application forms (hosted by Pawplacer) — for example your name, contact details, household information, and references. We use it to process your application and to communicate with you about it.
  • When you email us, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply.
  • When you donate, your payment is handled on the provider’s own secure page (PayPal or Pawplacer). We do not see or store your card or bank details.
  • When you visit this website, WordPress may collect basic technical information (such as pages visited) to keep the site working. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

How we use it

We use the information you give us only to run the rescue: processing applications, placing dogs, communicating with fosters, adopters, volunteers, and donors, and keeping our records. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it except as needed to do that work — for example, with Pawplacer, which hosts our applications and records, or with a veterinarian involved in a dog’s care.

Photos and stories

Photos and stories of our dogs appear on this site and on our social media. Adopters are not named in public copy.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing greatestneedrescue@gmail.com. We will do what we can within what the law and our record-keeping require.
