Sit down and do not be surprised when he leans his whole weight into you, wraps himself around you, and reminds you that personal space is completely overrated.
North Pole is the best of both worlds: a glorious burst of zoomies around the yard, then straight inside to flop on the couch and become your professional cuddle buddy. He loves other dogs, does great with kids, gets along with cats, and is goofy without being wild, playful without being overwhelming. Leave out a shoe and he may investigate it — leave him a pile of toys and some paper to shred and the problem is happily solved.
